| No market signal carries more power than the price gap. But gaps come in different varieties and generate different outcomes. So drill yourself in their various incarnations so you don't get fooled just at the wrong time. Certain types of gaps provide dramatic S/R when well-placed within a trend (a continuation gap, for example). Gaps represent short-term swing pivots in all their forms. For example, intraday traders can use a morning gap to pinpoint fade entry just as price fills it. And 1-3 day swing traders can use POWI's mid-January exhaustion gap to enter fade positions when price tests it for the first time in either direction. |
